Northern Colorado Endoscopy Center partners with the physicians of Centers for Gastroenterology in Loveland to provide our patients with the highest quality of care.  Our physicians are board certified in Internal Medicine with additional board certification in the sub-specialty of Gastroenterology.  Many of our physicians have developed extensive clinical sub-specialization in fields such as inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disorders, fecal incontinence, liver and biliary tract disease, and pancreatic disease.

Dr. Ana Huerta Alardin


Dr. Ana Huerta Alardin was born and raised in Tampico, Mexico.  She earned her medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas, Facultad de Medicina, Tampico, Tamaulipas Mexico.  She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, El Paso, Texas in 2011. She then finished her Gastroenterology and Hepatology  Fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa in 2014.  She worked as a Gastroenterologist at Allen Digestive Health and Cedar Valley Medical Specialists from 2014-2017.  She is Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.   She will be providing care at our Greeley office location.  She joined Centers for Gastroenterology in 2018.  Se habla Espanol!

Dr. Abraham Brass

Dr. Brass obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston Mass., Dr. Brass completed his clinical training in Gastroenterology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, while working as a postdoctoral fellow in the Genetics Dept. of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Brass grew up in Newton Massachusetts and graduated from Newton South High School.

Dr. Sean Caufield - Physicians

Dr. Sean Caufield


Dr. Caufield received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana.  He earned his medical degree in 2005 from the Stritch School of Medicine in Loyola, Illinois. Dr. Caufield completed his internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia. He then finished his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California in 2013.  Dr. Caufield served an additional three years in the Navy, concluding his military career as the Director of Endoscopy at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.  He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Caufield joined Centers for Gastroenterology in 2016.

Dr. Rebecca C. Dunphy

After studying for her undergraduate at Wellesley College, Dr. Dunphy received her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Dunphy completed an internship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Missouri in 1997 after which she completed her Residency and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Dunphy was certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1999, and the American Board of Gastroenterology in 2002. Dr. Dunphy joined the practice in 2003.

Dr. Mark N. Durkan

Dr. Durkan graduated from the National University of Ireland, University College in Dublin in 1993. After an internship at Limerick Regional Hospital in Ireland, Dr. Durkan completed his residency at Saint Joseph Hospital, County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland. He completed his Medicine Residency at the Beth Israel Medical Center, NY between 1986 – and 1990. He then completed a fellowship in GI/ Liver at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, from 1990 – 2002. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association as well as the American College of Gastroenterology. He has been certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine Gastroenterology since November 2003 and has joined the Centers for Gastroenterology in 2002.

Dr. Jacklyn Fackler

Dr. Fackler earned her undergraduate degree in Biology with a pre-health concentration at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa in 2011. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2016 at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan in 2019. She then completed her Gastroenterology fellowship at Parkview Health System in Pueblo, Colorado in 2022. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Fackler joined the Centers for Gastroenterology in 2022.

Jimmy Giang

Dr. Giang earned his undergraduate degree in Human Physiology and Biology at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon in 2009. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014 at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, CO. Dr. Giang would then complete both his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado, completing his fellowship in 2020. He has been in practice since August of 2020. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Gastroenterology Association. Dr. Giang joined the practice in 2022.

Dr. Hampton received his undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He attended The Ohio State University Medical School graduating in 2004. Dr. Hampton then completed both his Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Hampton joined the practice in 2015.

Dr. Kershner received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, graduating in 2008. Dr. Kershner then completed both her Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Kershner is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Kershner joined the practice in 2014.

Dr. Daniel Langer - Physicians

Dr. Daniel A. Langer was raised in Colorado and received his undergraduate degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1996.  In 2001, he received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and was elected to the Alpha-Omega-Alpha medical honor society.  He completed his internal medicine internship and residency, also at the University of Colorado, in 2004.  From 2004–2008 he received fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  He focused on the study of liver disease and has published several peer-reviewed papers.  He received the J. Arnold Bargen award for excellence in research.  He then moved back to Colorado to join Centers for Gastroenterology in 2008.  He is board certified Gastroenterology.  He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Crystal North


Dr. Crystal North received her BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks.  She earned her medical degree from Midwestern University in 2002 and completed her internal medicine residency training in 2005 at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon.  Dr. North finished her Gastroenterology fellowship training at Midwestern University in Chicago, Illinois in 2008.  She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. North is board certified in Gastroenterology.  In addition to enjoying the full spectrum of Gastroenterology, she has a particular interest in treatment for fecal incontinence and colon cancer screening.  Dr. North joined Centers for Gastroenterology in 2009.

Dr. Shirish Poudyal

Dr. Shirish Poudyal


Dr. Shirish Poudyal holds a BA in Physics from Williams College, graduating cum laude in 2010. He earned his MD at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2017. Dr. Poudyal completed a Digestive and Liver Disease Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center from 2020 to 2023, and he also served as an Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Michigan. His research portfolio encompasses various medical domains, including analyzing trends in Peptic Ulcer Disease mortality, studying anthropometrics in MSM networks in Southern India, and investigating the long-term effects of anti-VEGF injections on intraocular pressure. Dr. Poudyal is affiliated with professional organizations such as the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, he returned to Colorado in 2023 to join the Centers for Gastroenterology.

Dr. Noah Settergren


Dr. Settergren earned his undergraduate degree in Biology at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington in 2006. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013 at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado in 2016. He then completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado in 2019. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterology Association. He is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American College of Osteopathic Internists. Dr. Settergren joined Centers for Gastroenterology in 2019.

Dr. Lewis Strong has been practicing gastroenterology in Loveland, Colorado since 1991.  Dr. Strong earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.  He completed his residency program at the University Hospitals of Cleveland.  He received his Fellowship training in Gastroenterology from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.  Dr. Strong is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  He has a particular interest in digestive diseases, diseases of the liver and colon cancer screening.  Dr Strong is a founding partner of Centers for Gastroenterology.

Dr. Patrick Webb

Dr. Webb received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He earned his medical degree in 2004 from Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. Dr. Webb completed his residency and internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in San Diego, California. He then finished his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California in 2011. Dr. Webb served in the Navy concluding his military career as the Department Chairman / Staff Gastroenterologist at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. He is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association (AGAF) and a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Webb joined the Centers for Gastroenterology in 2018.
